This project included the gutting and remodeling of the 110,000 square foot pharmacy building at the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus to accommodate the Physics Department. The project included adding a floor at the top of the building to accommodate extensive mechanical systems. It is common for the State of Wisconsin to construct roof additions to accommodate mechanical systems, but this is the first project where the additional floor blends in with the historic character of the existing building.
